During this time, she made various appearances in movies and television such as Friday Night Lights and The Last Winter. She then landed the role of Tami Taylor in the critically acclaimed television series Friday Night Lights. Britton then went on to star in season one of the series American Horror Story. In 2012, she began playing the leading role of country singer Rayna Jaymes in the musical drama series Nashville. She has been nominated for several awards, including a Golden Globe and an Emmy.
